Tuesday February 20th, 2007 at 12:45 members of North Star Veterans for Peace and others will return to the local (101 12th Ave. Fairbanks, Alaska) office of Senator Ted Stevens to reiterate the terms of the Declaration of Peace that was delivered on January 18th. We will emphatically urge Senator Stevens to:

Vote “No” on any appropriations that would continue or escalate U.S. Military operations in Iraq;

Call for rapid withdraw of all U.S. Troops from Iraq and the closure of all U.S. Military bases and installations there;

Work to establish a comprehensive plan for peace in Iraq, including support for an Iraqi-led reconciliation / peace process;

Oppose any “preventive” or “preemptive” war against Iran or any other nation;

Investigate and prosecute war profiteering; and last but not least

Provide funding for full benefits, adequate health care, and other support for returning servicemen and women.
