On Thursday, January 18th @ 9:00 a.m. members of North Star Veterans for Peace, the Alaska Peace Center, and others will deliver an ultimatum to the local offices of Senators Murkowski and Stevens and Representative Young demanding that they agree publicly to the attached declaration. We will be meeting tomorrow night and agreeing to the final language. It should not change much.
We will return on Feb. 5th to thank the congress person for agreeing to this declaration or to reiterate our demands. In the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King and Gandhi, some may be moved to acts of Peaceful Nonviolent Civil Disobedience. We will repeat this activity periodically in the weeks that follow.
